Local Art Market

I believe it is important to support local - so if you are in the Sugar House area this week, you might be interested in the ART MARKET.E

From Website:

The Art Market serves as a marketplace for local artists who have a passion to share their talents with the community. The best and most creative local artisans are invited to showcase their unique, funky, whimsical, hard-to-find, and almost always hand-made merchandise in a seasonally themed event.

The "Where To Shop Besides Pottery Barn" Project

Let me start out by saying that Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware are wonderful companies. They really make the design process fool proof for both designers and the mass public. BUT, how wonderful is it to find a unique piece of furniture or accessory that can't be found everywhere else?! Or mass produced?! :)

I repeat - Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware are wonderful companies. BUT, there are also many other options in Salt Lake besides these two stores. As an interior designer, it is part of the job to be resourceful so I have decided to tackle the "Where To Shop Besides Pottery Barn" project.

Every week I will introduce a home decor store located right here in Salt Lake. Stores that sell unique decor that will add character and personality to your home. Again, I am not a Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware hater, I just simply want to provide all 15 of my followers with options.

Happy Shopping!

Design Face Lift by Q. A Design

Jenna from q.a design is the one responsible for my blogs' cosmetic face lift. Does it still look like me?! I highly recommend this girl, she was great to work with and hilarious, which is an added bonus in my book. Thank you Jenna!

Mad About the Mad Hatter Chair

I am adding this Mad Hatter Chair, by designer Lauren Liess, to my dream home wish list. A pair of these bad boys will accompany my green couch (also on the list) and you will all be invited to my tea party.

Ea - The Floral God

Allow me to introduce to you my dear friend and old co-worker, Mrs. Sarah Winward of Ea. - a fantastic floral company located in the 9th and 9th area.

Back in High School, Sarah and I both worked at Rich's Bagels (which has the best Asiago Bagels EVER!) We then both worked at Anthropologie in College. And now, here we are both working our magic in the SLC Wedding Industry.

I guess you could say we both appreciate great style, cloths and a good bagel!

I have always admired Sarah's talent. She is far cooler and more stylish then I could ever be! This is probably why I am not surprised her floral arrangements are simply... AWESOME! The arrangements are unique, creative and beautiful, just like my dear friend.
